Oil City Man Accused of Theft of Scrap Metal in Oakland Township

OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — According to Franklin-based State Police, an Oil City man has been accused of a theft that occurred at NNEL, Inc., on State Route 417, in Oakland Township, Venango County.

Police say 37-year-old David Gregory Burrows, of Oil City, allegedly removed scrap metal from the business NNEL, Inc., and removed items from two vehicles registered to NNEL, Inc.

He was arraigned before District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey and charged with the following offenses:

– Criminal Trespass/Secondary Metal, Misdemeanor 1
– Receiving Stolen Property, Misdemeanor 1
– Theft From A Motor Vehicle, Misdemeanor 1
– Theft From A Motor Vehicle, Misdemeanor 1

Unable to post $15,000.00 Straight Bail, Burrows was committed to the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on January 28 in Venango County Central Court.
