Oil City Man Accused of Threatening Woman, Her Family During Domestic Dispute Due in Court

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City man who allegedly threatened to kill a woman and her family during a domestic dispute is scheduled to appear in court this week.

According to court documents, on February 13, the Oil City Police Department filed criminal charges against 51-year-old Kenneth W. Flick, of Oil City.

Around 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, Oil City Police Officers were dispatched to a residence on East Second Street for a report of an active domestic assault.

According to a criminal complaint, the female caller stated that the male was drunk and was hitting her with his fists. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with the victim.

The victim told police that Flick was upset because he thought she was hiding vodka from him. She stated that “during their argument, Kenneth told (her) that he was going to kill her and her whole family,” according to the complaint.

While they were still arguing in the living room, and the victim was laying on the couch, Kenneth allegedly got on top of her, raised his fist to punch her. She covered her face with her hands, and “Flick grabbed her hand and then attempted to break her pinky finger by twisting it,” the complaint states.

Flick was subsequently taken into custody. He was arraigned at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, in Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office on the following charges:

– Terroristic Threats W/ Int To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 3
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

Unable to post $50,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on February 20 with Judge Fish presiding.
