Oil City Man Arrested After Alleged Assault on Oil City’s East End

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Oil City Police were dispatched to the 200 block of 2nd Street in Oil City on November 15, 2014, for an altercation.

Police say around 12:43 a.m. on November 15, Shawn Schillinger, 42, of Oil City, was arrested for harassment on the east end of Oil City.

According to police, an alleged altercation began on the corner of East 2nd Street and Walnut Street between Schillinger and another man.

Police report that Schillinger allegedly shoved the man into the roadway and punched him in the face.

The victim then retreated to the Country Fair while Schillinger gave chase.

The altercation ended at the Country Fair after Schillinger allegedly shoved and struck the man an additional time.

Schillinger was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Harassment
  • Disorderly Conduct
  • Public Intoxication
