Oil City Man Arrested After Police Chase

| October 27, 2017

HandcuffedCLEARFIELD, Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City man faces several charges, including aggravated assault, DUI, and reckless endangerment, after leading police on a chase early Wednesday morning.

According to a published article on wjactv.com, around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, Clearfield Borough Police initiated a traffic stop on 37-year-old Terry Boal, of Oil City, on North 3rd Street.

Boal pulled away in his vehicle after police officers asked him to get out of his vehicle when he showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol.

Police say two officers sought treatment for injuries at Penn Highlands Clearfield.

Boal hit a curb near the intersection of Daisy Street and Route 322, heavily damaged his front tires, and continued on Route 322 East, according to police.

Eventually, Boal’s vehicle lost both front tires, which allowed police to arrest him.

Police say Boal has an active warrant in Venango County and escaped from state parole.

Boal faces charges of aggravated assault, DUI, reckless endangerment and driving with a blood-alcohol content of .02 or greater while holding a suspended license, among others.

Boal is lodged in the Clearfield County Jail on $30,000.00 bail.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1, in Clearfield County Court.
