Oil City Man Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of Young Girl

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City man was arrested Thursday on charges stemming from an alleged incident of sexual assault involving a female juvenile.

Langlade County Wisconsin Sheriff’s office contacted Oil City Police Department and requested that the department locate 36-year-old Michael J. Poch, Jr. of Oil City and hold him for felony warrants out of their county.

Court records show that a bench warrant was issued for Poch on January 24, 2013.

Around 2:45 p.m. on January 31, Oil City police found Poch on East Front Street in Oil City.

He faces felony charges of 1st Degree Child Sexual Assault (Intercourse with Person under 12) and Intimidation of Victim/Threatening Force. Records list the offense date as June 1, 2010.

Poch was arraigned before District Judge Dinberg and placed in the Venango County Jail.
