OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – According to the Oil City Police Department, an Oil City man has been arrested for assault in Oil City, Venango County, Pa.

Police say around 1:40 a.m. on October 11, 2012, following a report of a domestic disturbance at 1013 Beech Street in Oil City, Lafayette Cathey, 35, was arrested and charged with simple assault.

He was placed in the Venango County Prison on a parole detainer where he will be arraigned on the assault charge.
