Oil City Man Arrested on DUI, Drug Charges After Falling Asleep in Car

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City man is facing multiple charges following an incident at an Oil City store on Sunday.

Oil City Police say they received a complaint around 9:40 p.m. of a driver sleeping in his car at a store on Spring Sreet.

Following sobriety tests, Mark Stephen Marcus II, 28, of Oil City, was arrested on DUI charges.

A search of Marcus’ vehicle resulted in police finding suspected marijuana and “acid.”

Police say the packaging and quantity was indicative of possession with intent to deliver.

Marcus was arraigned by Judge Andrew Fish on the following charges:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Int Possession Controlled Substance By Per Not Registered, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– DUI: Controlled Substance or Metabolite 1st Offense

He was placed in the Venango County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for June 10 in Venango County Central Court.
