Oil City Man Arrested on Felony Burglary Charges

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Police in Oil City have filed charges against a 29-year-old man accused of burglarizing a residence in the city.

A release issued on Monday evening by Patrolman Hargenrader indicates that police arrested Timothy Michael Geiger, of Oil City, in connection with an August 20 burglary at a Murray Street residence.

Further investigation and subsequent interviews revealed that Geiger entered the residence and removed an air conditioner, 2 televisions, an XBOX One, an Xbox 360, a mountain bike, and several other miscellaneous items.

On January 12, Geiger was taken into custody on a parole warrant and placed in the Venango County Jail.

Geiger faces felony charges of burglary and criminal trespass and misdemeanor counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

The charges were filed at District Magistrate Andrew F. Fish’s office.

Geiger is also facing charges in connection with a recent meth bust.
