Oil City Man, Boy Arrested for Alleged Rape of Two 12-year-old Girls

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Police in Oil City have arrested two people following a four month long investigation into the rape of two 12-year-old girls.

With the assistance of the Venango County Sheriff’s Department, Oil City Police arrested Matthew Daniel Wade, 23, of 137 W. Third Street, Oil City on a warrant and with the assistance of Venango County Court Supervision, arrested a 16-year-old male juvenile on an allegation.

Both were charged with Conspiracy to Commit Rape of a Child and Rape of a Child.

Wade was additionally charged with two counts of Unlawful Contact with a Minor and Corruption of Minors.

The juvenile was additionally charged with Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse.

Police said that the charges stem from an investigation into an incident that is alleged to have occurred in July of 2011 involving two 12-year-old female juveniles.

The alleged incident occurred near Wye Bridge in the Siverly area, police said.

Wade was arraigned in front of District Judge Dinberg and remanded to Venango County Prison in lieu of bail.

The juvenile was placed in a secure facility pending further court action on both.
