Oil City Man Crashes After Swerving to Miss Large Tree

ROCKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) – An Oil City man escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash on May 7 in Rockland Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, the accident occurred around 10 p.m. when Michael L. Koman, 67, of Oil City, swerved to miss a large tree that had fallen and was blocking both lanes of Rockland-Cranberry Road.

Koman’s 2011 Ford Focus crashed off the left side of the roadway resulting in disabling damage to the front-right portion of the vehicle.

He was wearing a safety belt and was not injured.

Venango Towing removed the vehicle from the scene.
