OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City man is facing a criminal charge after allegedly being found in possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to police, around 8:06 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 25-year-old Shawn P. Powell, of Oil City, was taken into custody after officers discovered an active arrest warrant for him.
Police say a search of Powell incident to arrest revealed multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia.
Powell was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, on one misdemeanor count of use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
Unable to post $2,500.00 cash bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 20, with Judge Fish presiding.
