CRANBERRY TWP., (EYT) – A 56-year-old Oil City man was flown to UPMC Hamot following a motorcycle crash in Cranberry Township on Friday.

Franklin-based state police tell exploreVenango.com that the accident took place around 1:13 p.m. when 56-year-old John J. McFadden, of Oil City, lost control of his 1976 Yamaha XS-1100 while attempting to negotiate a turn on Bredinsburg Road.

McFadden’s motorcycle left the roadway and struck a guide rail, police said.
