Oil City Man Held for Court on Marijuana Charges

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City man was held for court Wednesday on drug charges after allegedly being caught with several baggies of marijuana packaged for sale.

According to court documents, the following charges against 21-year-old Connor A. Bryan, were waived for court on Wednesday, December 4:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Marijuana-Small Amount Personal Use, Misdemeanor
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

The charges have been transferred to the Venango County Court of Common Pleas.

Bryan remains free on $25,000.00 monetary bail.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, around 2;20 p.m. PA State Trooper Peters received a call in the area of Allegheny Avenue in Cranberry Township, Venango County, reporting two men walking toward Oil City smoking marijuana.

Officers responded to the area and discovered Connor Bryan.

The complaint notes that upon approaching Bryan, it was found that there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued by the Sheriff’s office. Bryan was detained until the warrant could be confirmed; then, he was placed under arrest.

According to the complaint, Bryan told officers that he had marijuana in baggies for sale in his backpack.

A search was performed, and four individual plastic baggies containing a green/brown substance with a strong odor of marijuana was found along with a six ounce mason jar of the same substance and a digital scale, the complaint states.

Bryan was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey at 10:15 a.m. on November 22.
