| October 25, 2017

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — A Oil City man who threatened a police officer earlier this year at the Country Fair will be sentenced next week.

According to court documents, 22-year-old Kyle Ryan Stover, of Oil City, is scheduled to appear at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 30, in front of  President Judge Oliver Lobaugh for sentencing.

Stover pleaded guilty on September 25 to three summary counts of disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and harassment.

As a result of the plea agreement, a first-degree misdemeanor charge of Terroristic Threats W/ Intent To Terrorize Another was dismissed.

He is currently free on $10,000.00 unsecured bail.

Details of the case:

According to Oil City Police, Kyle Stover was in the Country Fair convenience store at 12:43 a.m. on Friday, June 2, and under the influence of alcohol. He was upset and began belittling a customer by calling her vulgar names.

Other customers were concerned and asked store employees to call the police.

Before Oil City Police Lt. Jonathan Love arrived, Stover left the store. Officer Love saw Stover climbing over an embankment in the parking lot. Lt. Love noticed Stover was unsteady on his feet, smelled of a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, and had bloodshot eyes.

Stover told Lt. Love he became upset because there was a “heroin addict (vulgar term)” holding up the line. Stover allegedly continued to describe her in other vulgar terms, according to police.

Lt. Love then took Stover into custody and was taken back to the police station.

After he was taken to a holding cell, Stover told Lt. Love “Wait until you’re off duty, your a** is mine.”
