Oil City Pi Day Pi K Race Set for March 11

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Oil City High School’s Math and Physics Club will host its Third Annual Pi Day Pi K race on March 11.

The race is a fundraiser for a scholarship awarded to a Math and Physics Club member that is majoring in a math or science field in a four-year post secondary school.

The race will include runners and walkers, with walkers starting at 9:00 a.m. and runners at 9:30 a.m.

The road course starts and ends at the Oil City Middle School.

All participants will receive a T-shirt, small pie, banana, and a water bottle.  Pre-registration, due by March 1, is $20.00, and race day registration is $25.00.

The race is professionally timed. Awards are given to the top three places in various age groups.
