Oil City Police Calls: Reports of Suspicious Activity

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – The Oil City Police Department responded to the following calls:

Suspicious Activity on East 4th Street

Oil City Police Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 500 block of East 4th Street around 2:04 a.m. on Friday, November 30, where they made contact with a complainant who stated he thought he heard someone attempting to break into his residence.

The officer checked the residence and did not find any signs of forced entry. Furthermore, officers patrolled the area and did not find anyone in or around the area.

The Oil City Police urge residents to report any suspicious activity.

Suspicious Activity on Hasson Avenue

Officers of the Oil City Police Department received a call around 3:07 a.m. on Friday, November 30, about a higher than normal volume of foot traffic in the 200 block of Hasson Avenue.

Officers responded to the area and were unable to locate anyone.
