Oil City Police Calls: Suspicious Person, Dispute, DUI, Domestic Dispute

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – The Oil City Police Department responded to the following calls:

Suspicious Person on Maple Street

The Oil City Police Department responded to the 10 block of Maple Street around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, after receiving a call from a resident who reported a suspicious person in the backyard of another residence.

Officers made contact with the individual who stated she was involved in a verbal altercation with her boyfriend and left the house to get away.

The incident remains under investigation.

DUI on Seneca Street

Oil City Police received multiple calls about a suspected DUI driver around 7:25 pm. on Tuesday, September 18. The callers reported that a male driving a silver Volkswagen station wagon appeared to be under the influence and was driving away from the North Side Country Fair.

Lieutenant Love initiated a traffic stop in the 200 Block of Seneca Street.

After an investigation, the driver was arrested for DUI Controlled Substances.

Domestic Dispute on Harriott Avenue

Oil City Police responded to the 300 Block of Harriott Avenue around 10:24 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, for a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, the officers made contact with a known male and a known female and determined the dispute was a verbal argument.

The male individual left while the officers were at the scene.

Dispute at Main Street and Petroleum Street

Police say two known males got into a physical altercation at the intersection of Main Street and Petroleum Street, and one male received minor injuries to his face.

Charges have not been filed at this time due to a pending investigation.
