Oil City Police Calls: Motor Vehicle Accident, Drug Possession, Disorderly Conduct

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — The Oil City Police Department responded to the following calls:

Motor Vehicle Accident on Bishop Avenue

Around 8:57 p.m. on September 16, the Oil City Police Department responded to Bishop Avenue for a report of a hit and run that was called in by an anonymous caller.

Upon their arrival, officers spoke to the owner of the vehicle who stated that it was not a hit and run. The owner said he knew the driver of the other vehicle, and they were able to exchange information before police arrived at the scene.

Possession of Controlled Substance on Harriott Avenue

Around 1:23 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, officers of the Oil City Police Department were dispatched to a residence on North Street to assist Pennsylvania State Probation and Parole with a home visit.

Upon arrival, officers were directed to a second-floor bedroom that contained several pieces of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances belonging to 27-year-old Jamie Rocco.

Rocco was taken to the Venango County Jail by Pennsylvania State Probation and Parole on probation violations, and charges were filed for the evidence seized.

Rocco faces misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office on Thursday, September 27.

Drug Possession on Harriott Avenue

Around 12:53 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, officers of the Oil City Police Department responded to a residence on Harriott Avenue to assist Pennsylvania State Probation and Parole.

Upon arrival, Probation and Parole agents arrested 37-year-old Crystal M. Breck and 21-year-old Dimire Michael Chall for possession of drug paraphernalia. Chall and Breck were remanded to the Venango County Jail by Pennsylvania Probation and Parole.

Chall faces one misdemeanor count of use/possession of drug paraphernalia, and Breck faces two misdemeanor counts of use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office on Thursday, September 27.

Dispute on Colbert Avenue

The Oil City Police Department responded to a residence on Colbert Avenue around 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, for a call from a nearby resident who reported a known female outside screaming at a known male.

Upon arrival, officers observed the female, identified as 36-year-old Kelly Jean Chrispen, screaming at the known male who was sitting in a vehicle.

The officers spoke to the male who agreed to leave for the night.

Crispen faces one summary count of disorderly conduct, which was filed through Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office on Thursday, September 27.
