Oil City Police Calls: Overdose Victim Revived with Narcan, Trespassing at Hasson Park, Retail Theft

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — The Oil City Police Department responded to the following incidents:

Overdose on Washington Avenue

The Oil City Police Department responded to an overdose in the 300 block of Washington Avenue around 10:02 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5. Oil City Police assisted Oil City Fire and Community Ambulance Service.

The patient was able to receive Narcan and regained consciousness prior to being transported to UPMC Northwest.

The incident remains under investigation.

Trespassing in Hasson Park

The Oil City Police Department investigated a group of males in the Hasson Park area around 9:22 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5.

The individuals were found in the upper pavilion of Hasson Park in the dark. They were advised that all parks close at dusk and they complied when asked to leave.

Police indicate the individuals will be cited for trespassing.

Retail Theft on Spring Street

Around 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, a known Oil City man was arrested for retail theft from the North Side Country Fair after an investigation by the Oil City Police discovered that he took two Slim Jims.

Domestic Dispute on Spruce Street

Oil City Police were dispatched to a Spruce Street location around 7:35 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, for a dispute between two females.

The dispute was verbal in nature. The two involved parties were advised to separate for the evening.

Harassment on Plum Street

The Oil City Police Department responded to a report of harassment on Plum Street around 6:35 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4.

This incident remains under investigation and charges are pending.

Dispute on North Street

Oil City Police were dispatched around 8:49 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, for a report of a verbal dispute.

The argument was between juveniles concerning the ownership of a Playstation 4. The device was returned to the owner.
