Oil City Police Respond to Report of Break-In

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Police in Oil City responded to a report of a possible break-in at a Hoffman Avenue residence on Monday night.

The Oil City Police Department received a call around 8:58 p.m. on Monday, October 15, concerning a possible break-in at a residence in the 300 Block of Hoffman Avenue.

Upon arrival, the officers spoke to the homeowners who stated they were upstairs when they heard the front door slam shut. When they went downstairs, they noticed a candle knocked over in the living room.

The officers checked the residence and did not locate anyone. In addition, there were no signs of a forced entry at any of the doors or windows.
