Oil City Police Seeking Information on Threat Made at Oil City High School Dance

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — The Oil City Police Department is asking the public for information regarding a threat that was made on Saturday evening at the Oil City High School dance.

Patrolman Rosenberger, of the Oil City Police Department, reported the department is investigating a threat that was made by a juvenile around 7:55 p.m. on Saturday, January 25.

The report of a threat came in when a student at the Oil City High School dance overheard a conversation about another juvenile making a threat during the dance.

Oil City Police, as well as school security, were on the scene and spoke to several witnesses.

At no time was anyone in danger while at the dance.

This is still an ongoing investigation. The police department and the school district are working together to determine the circumstances around the threats. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Oil City Police Department at 814-678-3080.
