OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – The Oil City Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a man who is wanted on an arrest warrant stemming from a domestic dispute that occurred on Saturday.

The Oil City Police officers were dispatched to 69 Pearl Avenue on Saturday, August 18, for a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers could hear a man yelling inside the residence. Officers knocked on the door repeatedly and announced their presence.

The man – later identified as 34-year-old Charles Davis – attempted to exit the residence through a second story window at the rear of the house. When confronted by an officer and ordered to show his hands, David retreated back into the residence. Shortly thereafter, Davis attempted to exit the residence again through a second story window and again retreated back into the house when confronted. Officers were authorized to make entry and made contact with a female who was ordered to come downstairs.

After taking possession of her infant from Davis, she came downstairs and was escorted by an officer to the living room.

Davis was then ordered downstairs. Upon reaching the front porch, Davis was then advised he was being detained. Davis did not comply and jumped from the porch fleeing on foot with officers in pursuit.

The female victim was then interviewed. She stated that Davis had been arguing with her. The argument had turned physical. She stated that Davis had thrown her to the floor, pulled her up by the hair, and slammed her against the wall. She also stated that he had choked her several times and threatened to kill her, according to police.

Oil City Police filed the following charges against Davis on August 19 in Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office:
