Oil City Sex Offender Arrested after Allegedly Failing to Comply with Megan’s Law

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say a man allegedly failed to comply with Megan’s Law and was arrested Monday on SR 62, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Police report that 40-year-old Robert Lee Confer, of Oil City, was arrested after failing to comply with Megan’s Law as a registered sex offender.

According to police, a warrant was obtained for Confer’s arrest and he was taken into custody on 08/18/14 at 7:10 p.m.

Police report that Confer is being charged with Failure to Comply with Registration of Sexual Offenders – Felony 3.

Confer was arraigned in front of Judge Dinberg and released on twenty thousand dollars unsecured bond.
