Oil City Teen Injured in Rollover Crash in Oakland Township

OAKLAND TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City teen was involved in a rollover crash in Oakland Township early Wednesday morning.

Franklin-based State Police say the accident occurred around 6:31 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28. A 17-year-old Oil City female was driving a 2003 Nissan GXE, south on State Route 428 just east of Suzy Q Road in Cornplanter Township when the vehicle exited the right side of the roadway and struck a guide rail, causing it to go airborne. While airborne, the vehicle struck a utility pole and then overturned. It came to a final rest on its roof off the right side of the roadway.

The teen was wearing a seatbelt and suffered suspected minor injuries.

She was charged with a traffic violation.

Oakland Volunteer Fire Department, Community Ambulance Service, and Venango Towing assisted at the scene.
