The Oilers (8-0) won the District 10, Region 7 championship outright last week with a victory over Fort LeBouef and face a Slippery Rock squad that is 4-4 on the year and is coming off a 42-21 loss to Hickory.

Oil City once again has one of the top running backs in District 10, as Noah Petro ranks second in the district in rushing with 1,364 yards and 19 touchdowns. That includes six games of at least 100 yards, two over 200 yards and a career-best 363 yards in the win over Meadville two weeks ago that helped secure the Region title for the Oilers.

Cam Russell adds 624 yards and six touchdowns for Oil City with quarterback Holden Stahl chipping in 387 yards and six scores on the ground while going 17 of 32 for 490 yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions through the air.

Nathan Hyatt is the leading rusher for the Rockets with 662 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff for a score last week.

Quarterback Vito Pilosi adds 436 yards and four touchdowns on the ground while going 64 of 134 passing for 885 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions.

WARREN AT FRANKLIN

Franklin closes out its Region season when it hosts Warren Friday night in a District 10, Region 7 contest.

The Knights (2-6) look to break a four-game losing streak and will once again be without quarterback Ian Haynes, who was lost to a season-ending shoulder injury two weeks ago.

Cade Adams stepped in at quarterback going 11 of 22 for 109 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions last week.

Adams does have Dalton Buckley to throw to. Buckley has caught 63 passes for 1,066 yards and 10 touchdowns and is easily the leading receiver in District 10 with the second-place guy actually being Adams (49-661-4).

Raejon King stepped in and led Franklin on the ground last week with 17 carries for 52 yards.

Eli Stewart is the Knights leading rusher with 468 yards and two touchdowns.

Warren (5-3) clinched a playoff berth with a win over Corry last week.

The Dragons are paced by their dual-threat quarterback Micah Passmore who has rushed for 628 yards and 10 touchdowns and thrown for 679 yards and six scores while going 49 of 109 with six interceptions.

Franklin has picked up a game for next week with the Knights traveling to St. Marys. The Dutch were supposed to take on Warren but that game got cancelled when Warren made the District 10 playoffs.
