OIL CITY, Pa. – The Oil City Main Street Program and Oil City Arts & Cultural Commission have teamed up to host “Oil City Uncorked” Fall Wine Walk and “Music on the Square” on Friday, September 9.

“There is no excuse to sit home on September 9,” stated Kathy Bailey, Main Street Manager. “Downtown Oil City will be full of activity that evening, and we encourage everyone to come enjoy an evening on the town.”

The “Oil City Uncorked” Fall Wine Walk will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on September 9, and will feature an evening of wine sampling and complimentary hors d’ouevres at various downtown businesses.

Twelve wineries are confirmed to date, including Deer Creek Winery, Elk Mountain at Knox Winery Outlet, Fractured Grape Wine Cellars, Groundhog Winery, King View Mead, Nectar Valley Winery, Nova Cellars Winery, Shadow Vineyard and Winery, Twisted Vine Winery, Wapiti Ridge Wine Cellars, Webb Winery, and Wilhelm Winery.

Wineries will be located inside various Northside Business District businesses.

On the day of the walk, ticket holders may check in at the Oil Region Alliance Office to pick up their free wine glass and list of winery locations. All ticket holders must check in in-person, with their ticket and valid photo ID in hand.

Ticket holders may stroll to each winery location at their leisure and pick up their wine purchases at the Days Inn after they complete the walk. All samples must be consumed inside the host business.

Tickets are $20.00 in advance or $25.00 on the day of the walk (while supplies last) and are on sale now at the Oil Region Alliance Office located at 217 Elm Street and the Venango Area Chamber of Commerce Office located at 41 Main Street. Tickets may be reserved with a credit card by calling the ORA office at 814-677-3152.

All proceeds of “Oil City Uncorked” benefit the downtown revitalization efforts of the Oil City Main Street Program.
