Oil City Woman Accused of Furnishing Alcohol to Minors

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Police say a 35-year-old woman was taken into custody after she allegedly furnished alcohol to a minor.

According to police, around 5:31 p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, Oil City Police officers were dispatched to the area of Colbert Avenue for a report of an adult furnishing alcohol to a juvenile.

Police say 35-year-old Nicole Jones of Oil City was located in a wooded area between High Street and Prospect Street and was arrested for furnishing alcohol to minors and related crimes.

She was then transported to the Venango County Jail and lodged on a parole detainer.

According to court documents, Jones was arraigned at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, in Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish’s office on the following charges:

  • Sell/Furnish Liquor Etc, to Minor, Misdemeanor 3
  • Corruption of Minors, Misdemeanor 1 (two counts)
  • Public Drunkenness And Similar Misconduct, Summary

Unable to post $5,000.00 cash bail, she was lodged in the Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, with Judge Fish presiding.
