OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City woman was charged with allegedly passing counterfeit money at a store in Oil City.

According to a criminal complaint, Oil City Police Officers were dispatched to the North Side Country Fair for a report of counterfeit money being passed.

The complaint states that the night shift manager of Country Fair told Officer Drake that a female entered the store around 2:33 a.m. on May 26, and bought 23 items totaling $63.34 and paid with a counterfeit $100.00 bill.

The female was identified as 44-year-old Lori Lynn Tupek, of Oil City, the complaint indicates.

The manager showed Officer Drake video of Tupek and gave him the $100.00 bill, which was labeled “For Motion Picture use only” as well as “For Cinematic Use Only,” the complaint continues.
