Oil City Woman Allegedly Found with Controlled Substances, Crack Pipe During Search

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Authorities in Oil City say a woman is facing drug related charges after controlled substances and drug paraphernalia were found on her person during a search prior to her arrest on an active warrant.

According to a criminal complaint, 29-year-old Arica Renee Jackson was arrested and taken into custody on an active arrest warrant on June 3, 2015.

Oil City Police Patrolman Robert Meehan stated in a criminal complaint that during a search prior to Jackson’s arrest, she was allegedly found to be in possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

The criminal complaint indicates that chunks of a white substance suspected to be crack cocaine were allegedly found in an open pack of Marlboro cigarettes on Jackson’s person during the search. Jackson was also allegedly found to be in possession of 6.5 white pills suspected to be Clonazepam (Klonopin) contained in an unlabled pill bottle.

Additionally, police allegedly discovered a silver, charred, metal pipe commonly used for smoking crack cocaine on Jackson’s person, the complaint continues.

Court documents indicate Jackson has been charged with the following:

– Manufacture Etc. Controlled Substance
– Use/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

A preliminary hearing has been schedule for 8:30 a.m. on July 15 before District Judge Fish.
