CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City woman escaped injuries in a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Tuesday morning on Route 322 in Cranberry Township Tuesday.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 9:48 a.m. on October 17, 23-year-old Hazel Jackson, of Knox, was driving a 2010 Dodge Charger east when she lost control of her car after possibly falling asleep. The Dodge traveled into the westbound lane where it struck a 2014 Chevy Express driven by 53-year-old Dewayne Hutchinson, of Oil City.

The Dodge then drove off the side of the road and into a brushy area before stopping.

The Chevy spun in a counterclockwise direction before traveling off the side of the road and hit a garage and a mailbox before coming to a stop.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured.

Jackson was charged with a traffic violation.
