Oil City Woman Facing Charges of Felony Access Device Fraud

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City woman has been accused of access device fraud.

According to online court documents, Katie E. Appel, 21, of Oil City, was arraigned at 2:40 p.m. on October 8 before District Judge Patrick Lowrey.

Court documents state that she was charged with three counts of accessing a device issued to another who did not authorize its use, a third-degree felony.

The charges are related to an alleged September 10 incident, court documents indicate.

Bail was set at $5,000.00 unsecured.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on October 14 in Venango County Central Court with Judge Lowrey presiding.
