Oil City Woman Faces Charges Over Stolen Rebate Card

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City woman is facing charges after allegedly stealing a rebate credit card.

The Oil City Police Department filed criminal charges against 37-year-old Shannon Ziegler, of Oil City, stemming from an incident of a stolen rebate credit card which was found to have been used at local businesses as well as one business in the Seneca area.

Police say Ziegler allegedly admitted to finding and using the card to obtain merchandise and/or services at the locations in the Oil City and Seneca areas.

Based on the investigation, the following charges were filed through District Court 28-3-01:

  • Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property, Misdemeanor
  • Access Device Fraud, Misdemeanor

A preliminary hearing has not yet been scheduled for the case.
