Oil City Woman Jailed After Assaulting Nurse at UPMC Northwest

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — An Oil City woman faces felony assault charges stemming from an incident at UPMC Northwest in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

Franklin-based State Police say while being treated at UPMC Northwest around 3:56 a.m. on July 2, Kimberly Ann Irwin, of Oil City, allegedly assaulted a 35-year-old UPMC nurse.

She was arraigned at 9:15 a.m. on July 13 in front of Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey and charged with Felony 2, Aggravated Assault.

Unable to post $25,000.00 bail, she was lodged in Venango County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on July 22 in Venango County Central Court.
