OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – State police in Franklin said an Oil City woman is the victim of a case of theft by deception.

Police said the incident occurred in Cranberry Township, Venango County in late June when an unknown person accepted money from the victim. Police said the individual failed to deliver the car.

The victim is listed as a 41-year-old Oil City woman.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
