Oil City YMCA Announces Dek Hockey Programming for Youth and Adults

| May 15, 2018

OIL CITY, Pa. – Scenic Rivers YMCA DEK Hockey is played at the Hasson Park rink in Oil City. As a city-owned YMCA managed facility, it is truly a unique hockey destination in Northwest Pa.

With a renewed effort for excellence, staff and volunteers have worked tirelessly to improve the facility, expand program offerings, and create a family environment.

The Footer Hockey program teaches skill development and is open to youth ages 4-8. Youth Footer Hockey meets eight Saturdays from June 2 through July 21 for approximately one hour. Children will walk in the Oil Heritage Parade on July 28.

Gear is provided at no charge. The cost is $29.00/members and $39.00/non-members. Register online or at the YMCA Member Service Desk.

The Youth Roller Hockey program focuses on skill development through drills and game play every session. Divisions are available for ages 4-14 based on age, skill level, and player safety. The program meets one weeknight and on Saturday mornings, May 19 to June 30 for one hour.

The cost is $29.00/member and $39.00/non-member.

Register online or in-person at the YMCA.

Adult Roller Hockey is a great opportunity to get those legs in shape. If you want to give DEK hockey a try – but you don’t have a team – it’s okay! We’ll help you find one!

If you have questions, please contact Max Krepps at the YMCA, 814-677-3000. The cost is $600.00 per team.
