Oil City YMCA Announces New Session of Jr. NBA Basketball for Youth

OIL CITY, Pa. – The Jr. NBA, a national youth basketball program designed to develop fundamental skills, sportsmanship and a love of the game of basketball, is returning to the Oil City YMCA in November.  Registration is open for youth in grades kindergarten through six.

The YMCA and the Jr. NBA are empowering the basketball community and impacting youth through the sport of basketball through a dynamic skill-based program under the leadership of Max Krepps, YMCA Youth Director.  Most of all, kids will have fun and feel more confident about their basketball ability.

The Jr. NBA is a program for youth in kindergarten through sixth grade and is focused on improving individual and team skills and building on fundamentals. Four age levels will be offered on Saturdays, beginning November 9.

  • Kindergarten (ages 5 & 6): 9:00 a.m.
  • 1st and 2nd Grade: 10:15 a.m.
  • 3rd and 4th Grade:  11:30 a.m.
  • 5th & 6th Grade: 11:00 a.m.

The program will be instructed by YMCA Youth Director Max Krepps and will be held in the Oil City YMCA Gymnasium.

Registration is ongoing through November 12.  Jr. NBA is $25.00 for members and $45.00 for non-members.  Registration forms are available at the YMCA and online registration is available at www.oilcityymca.org.  All players receive a Jr. NBA t-shirt/jersey.

YMCA Hours

The Oil City YMCA hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m, and closed Sundays.
