Oil City YMCA Announces Powerlifting Meet Set for July 21

OIL CITY, Pa. – The Oil City YMCA will host a Powerlifting Meet on Saturday, July 21, during Oil Heritage Week for men and women.

The “Sun’s Out, Guns Out” Powerlifting Meet will consist of three lifts including bench press, squat and deadlift.  Weigh-ins begin at 8:30 am.  Due to the growing size of the meet over the years, the meet will now be held in the YMCA gymnasium.

Each participant receives a t-shirt. Awards are presented after the meet to top lifters.

Pre-registration is required for the meet and online registration is available.  The entry fee is $20 for YMCA Members and $35 for Non-members.

The Oil City YMCA hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to noon.
