| January 19, 2018

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) – The first annual Cold for a Cause Polar Plunge hosted by the Oil City YMCA and Two Mile Run County Park has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 24, 2018.

It will be held at 12:00 p.m. at Two Mile Run Crosby Beach.

Ages 12+ may participate. Gather pledges for the big day!

$15.00 in pledges earns a T-shirt, $100.00 in pledges also receives a towel, and $500.00 also receives a hoodie.

Register at the Y by February 16.

The idea for the “Cold for a Cause Polar Plunge” was formed to help raise money for the YMCA Annual Campaign to support local youth and to help the County make important improvements at the County Park. Additionally, jumping into icy waters is just plain fun!

“This is our first year doing the plunge,” said organizer, Jen Kissell-Dudek.

“It is going to be exciting. The beach is zero entry, so you won’t have to jump in to water over your head. We’re encouraging those who participate to come in costume if they would like.”
