OIL CITY, Pa. — Leading local businesses are partnering with the Oil City YMCA to offer cutting edge health and wellness options to their employees.

The program is an enticing incentive for current and prospective employees, and it has significant benefits to businesses.

Partnerships are available at no cost or obligation to employers. The YMCA Corporate Membership program benefits employees by offering a lower group rate. The YMCA handles all of the billing and membership.

“This is a great opportunity for local businesses to take an active part in bettering the health of their employees,” said Michelle Murray, Scenic Rivers Association Marketing and Membership Director.

Benefits of employee health include lower healthcare costs, increased productivity, less turnover, reduced stress and an increased bottom line.

“Our Corporate Membership Program began in January of this year,” said Murray. “The Y offers an option for employers to contribute and an additional option for employers who want to offer memberships to their employees without a contribution. Either way, the employee receives a significant reduction in the price they pay for a membership.”

The program is simple and the YMCA handles most of the work. After the business joins the program, employees sign up for memberships at the YMCA. Payment is through a monthly bank draft.

Hours

The Oil City YMCA hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m, and Sundays 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (through the end of March)
