OIL CITY, Pa. – The Oil City YMCA is hosting an American Red Cross Lifeguard Class this spring.  Limited space is available to those who are interested.

If you are interested in a summer job or challenging career as a lifeguard, you are encouraged to take the class held at the Oil City YMCA on May 4-5.  The online portion of the class will be held April 29 through May 3.

Learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid, CPR/AED, and skills necessary to work as a lifeguard. Participants must be at least 15 years old and pass swimming requirements.

The cost of the program is $175.00/Member; $200.00/Non Member. Participants must be able to attend all four days of class.

Upon completion of the class, the Oil City YMCA encourages participants to apply for a job as a lifeguard at the YMCA and/or Two Mile Run County Park. Applications will be reviewed in late May.
