Oil City YMCA to Offer Free Community Swim Lessons

OIL CITY, Pa. — The Oil City YMCA will offer free community swim lessons for youth ages 5-14 from June 12 through June 16. Splash Week swim lessons are designed to teach children how to swim and be safe around water.

Children will learn about pool and open water safety, basic survival skills, beginner swimming techniques and basic boating skills and safety.

Classes will take place daily for one week, June 12 — 16 from 5:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Pre-registration is required at the YMCA. Class size is limited and anyone interested is encouraged to register early.

The Samuel Justus Charitable Trust makes Splash Week possible at the Oil City YMCA through a grant.

Hours

The Oil City YMCA hours are Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
