OIL CITY, Pa — Twelve year old Charlie Motter recently broke a 30 year old YMCA 11-12 Boys 50 yard Freestyle record that was set by Justin Woolcock in 1988. Charlie broke the record by swimming a 25.13 second 50 yard Freestyle while competing at the Keystone State Games, held in Wilkes-Barre, Pa on July 28, 2018.

Oil City had eight swimmers represent our region at the Keystone State Games. The swimmers were Madyson Kissell, Ansley Svolos, Emily Russell, Sarah Fisher, Sydney Svolos, Morgan Stover, Charlie Motter and Ronnie Hammerly. During the meet the swimmers had many personal records, a handful of top six place finishes.  Morgan Stover had two first place finishes.

Oil City Swimming also represented our region during the Keystone State Games Masters Swim Meet. Coaches Deanna Kissell and Jen Kissell-Dudek competed Saturday. Both swimmers earned first place finishes in their races. Jen broke meet records in four of her five races.
