Olive Ferne Dembeck

dembeck_olive 2Olive Ferne Dembeck, 98, formerly of Fairview, PA, passed away on November 24, 2014 at 3:00 a.m. at the VNA Inpatient Hospice. Most recently she was a resident of the Chicora Medical Center.

She was born August 1, 1916 in Canal, PA in Venango County, Pennsylvania to the late Lawrence Lee Wheeling and Mayme (Lupher) Wheeling.

Mrs. Dembeck was a homemaker and also worked for Penn Drake in Karns City. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Butler, PA.

Mrs. Dembeck is survived by three daughters, Carol Dembeck of Milton, VT, Linda Dembeck of Cleveland, OH, and Susan Dembeck of Butler, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Dembeck whom she married on September 5, 1950 and who passed away on October 6, 1984 and also by two brothers, Kimbel and Jay Wheeling.

Friends will be received at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA, on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m., there will be no visitation on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2014. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m.with Pastor David Maitland of First Baptist Church officiating.

Interment will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
