One-Car Crash on Route 322 in Cranberry Township

police-car-woodsCRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Franklin-based State Police say a one-car crash occurred yesterday along Route 322, in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to police, around 7:40 a.m. on October 20, a 2009 Pontiac G6 was traveling west on Route 322 just west of Whipperwill Road when a deer ran from the south side of the roadway and into the vehicle’s path.

The Pontiac reportedly struck the deer with the front right bumper and continued to travel until finding a safe location to pull over.

Police say the vehicle sustained what appeared to be cosmetic damage and was able to be driven from the scene.

The name of the driver was not released.

No injuries were reported.
