HOWE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — One person was rushed to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on State Route 666 in Howe Township on Saturday afternoon.

According to Marienville-based State Police, 47-year-old Wanda D. Huey, of Rossiter, and 60-year-old Pamela J. Vranich, of Johnstown, were involved in the accident.

Police say the collision occurred around 4:19 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, as Huey was traveling north on State Route 666, in Howe Township, Forest County. She was driving too fast for road conditions and failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway. She lost control of her 2001 Dodge Ram, and it slid into the southbound lane of Route 666 and struck Vranich’s 2006 KIA Sorento.

Police say Huey was not injured.

Sheffield EMS transported Vranich to Warren General Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

Huey was charged with a traffic violation.

Frank’s Towing removed the KIA from the scene.
