81-year-old Woman Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash on Route 257

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — An 81-year-old woman was injured in a three-vehicle accident on State Route 257, north of Ranch Street, in Cranberry Township, Venango County this afternoon.

According to police, 64-year-old Clarence R. Kiskadden of Franklin; 81-year-old Margaret P. Hinds of Oil City; and 57-year-old Sharon S. Dale, also of Oil City, were involved in the collision.

Police say the crash took place around 2:20 p.m. as Kiskadden was traveling north on SR 257, and as he was negotiating a right curve in the roadway in a 1999 Chevrolet 3500, he traveled in the southbound lane of SR 257.

His vehicle impacted a 2012 Buick driven by Hinds, and Hind’s car spun in a counterclockwise manner and rolled onto its roof coming to rest in the southbound lane of SR 257.

After impact with the Buick, Kiskadden continued north in the southbound lane where he impacted with a 2005 GMC Sierra driven by Dale.

Dale’s vehicle was forced off the west berm where it came to rest on its wheels facing south.

Kiskadden’s vehicle came to rest in the southbound lane of SR 257.

All three drivers were using seat belts.

Kiskadden and Dale were not injured.

Community Ambulance transported Hinds to UPMC Northwest where she was treated for moderate injuries.

Kiskadden was charged with a traffic violation.
