One Suspect in Custody Following Shooting in Meadville, Alleged Shooter Remains at Large

CRAWFORD CO., Pa. (EYT) — Two people have been charged in connection with the shooting of a Meadville man on Thursday morning.

According to a published article in The Meadville Tribune, charges were filed against 22-year-old Anthonie L. Sugden, of Whitesville, New York, and 40-year-old Michelle (Shelly) Elizabeth Rosario, of Jamestown, New York, stemming from the shooting of Wilbert Bascom III, of Meadville, on Thursday, December 6.

Bascom suffered a single gunshot wound. He was reported in critical condition at UPMC Hamot as of Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Jamestown Police Department took Rosario into custody. She faces felony charges of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery — inflict serious bodily injury and conspiracy to commit robbery with the threat of immediate serious injury and misdemeanor charges of theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property, according to The Meadville Tribune.

Police are searching for Sugden. He should be considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

Felony charges of criminal attempted homicide, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of simple assault, theft by unlawful taking, conspiracy to commit theft and receiving stolen property were filed against Sugden.
