One-Vehicle Crash on Route 8 in Sandycreek Township

SANDYCREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say a one-vehicle crash occurred Monday night in Sandycreek Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 10:35 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 51-year-old Wesley V. Rector, of Reno, was operating a 2004 Nissan Sentra, traveling north on State Route 8 in Sandycreek Township.

Rector was traveling in the left lane when he hit a deer on the roadway. The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front end and the windshield.

Rector was wearing his seat belt and was not injured.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Venango Towing.
