Onilee R YoungOnilee Ray Young, 83, of Wexford, formerly of Seneca, died Monday morning, May 22, 2017 at Concordia of Wexford.

Born September 7, 1933 in Wentlings Corners, she was the daughter of the late Calvin C. and Phyllis (Whitehill) Ray.

Onilee was a long-time active member of Seneca United Methodist Church since 1955, when she moved to the Seneca area from Knox.

Through the years, Onilee enjoyed playing the piano and singing, cooking, volunteering at the church, and was a member of the Red Hats. She was also an avid reader.

Onilee was employed for than twenty years as an administrative assistant with both the Oil City Derrick and Northwest/Mellon Bank, where she retired from in 1991.

She was married in Wentlings Corners on June 13, 1953 to Walter D. Young, who preceded her in death on March 21, 2013.

Surviving are three children, Douglas Young of Tampa, Florida, Derry Young and his wife Roxanna of Middletown, and Ann Sullivan and her husband Scott of Wexford; and ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also surviving are three brothers, Neil Ray and his wife Martha of Cincinnati, Ohio, Darrel Ray and his wife Bessie of Andover, New York, and Stanley Ray and his wife Beverly of Brandon, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Friends will be received Wednesday (May 31st) from 10 a.m. until noon in the Seneca United Methodist Church, 196 East State Road, Seneca, where funeral services will immediately follow at Noon in the church. The Rev. William E. Hastings, church pastor, will officiate.

Private interment will be in Phipps Cemetery near Kossuth.
