Organizers Gearing Up for Annual Cranberry Expo

| March 2, 2019

CRANBERRY, Pa. (EYT) – Cranberry area businesses and organizations will have an opportunity to showcase their products and services at the 2019 Cranberry Expo being held at the Cranberry Mall on Tuesday, March 19 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The annual event is hosted by Cranberry Township Economic & Development Committee.

“I think this is a great opportunity for residents to see what the Cranberry area has to offer” states Barrie Brancato, Economic and Development Committee Chairperson. “This is the fourth year for the event and this year we are anticipating more business participation and larger community attendance.”

In addition to showcasing our Cranberry area businesses, the Cranberry Expo also provides the opportunity of networking with Cranberry Township Supervisors, Committee Volunteers, political candidates & local officials. Each year the Expo features a specific message for the Cranberry residents. This year the Township will share the Senior Living Complex Master Plan. In addition, Erik Johnson, the Senior Planner and County Recycling Coordinator with Venango County Regional Planning Commission will answer questions about the proposed Recycling Facility.
The Expo event will also run parallel to the Cranberry Mall Family night and the planned family activities include Marty’s Bubble Gum Machine.

Economic and Development Committee Member and 2019 Cranberry Expo Chairperson, Lisa Groner, is excited about the upcoming event.

“This event is a unique no cost opportunity for a Cranberry Business to get in front of the community in a one-stop event,” said Groner. “Even if your business doesn’t cater to the general walk-in clientele, this is an opportunity to let someone know what you do in your business, what type of jobs might exist at your business and if you are hiring.”

“It is also an opportunity for the business to let the community know they care and want to be a part of the community. The Cranberry business setting is like many other small rural communities. It is spread out and many times the local citizens do not even know the business exists. The Expo is a fun filled and often educational evening for both businesses and residents.”

The event is free and open to the public.

Cranberry businesses that would like to have a table display, at no charge, can contact Cranberry Township at 814-676-8812 to request an Expo registration form. Forms can also be found on the Cranberry Township website at Registration deadline is March 15, 2019.
